(1) Ring Die Pellet Mil l-- Our ring die pellet mill capacity ranges are from 200kgs to 3T per hour
A ring die pellet mill has a ring shaped die, and a set of rollers. The die it positioned vertically, with the rollers set within the die, applying force to the inner edge of the ring. Due to the vertical roller and die position a motor is required to meter raw material into the centre of the ring.
Most ring die pellet mills operate with a driven ring and a stationary roller set. However there is a small selection of ring die pellet mills with a stationary die and rotating roller set. Some ring die pellet mills are direct gear driven from the motor, while others are belt driven. The advantages of gear driven is a more positive driving force without the possible slipping of belt systems. However belt driven mills are more economically and access for drive changes are easier and cheaper. The speed of the mill is dictated by the raw material being processed, for example one speed maybe suitable for grass but not wood. There is more on this within the guide.

(2) Flat Die Pellet Press ( Small Pellet Mill)
Flat die pellet mills are the simplest design of pellet mill, and as such have certain advantages and disadvantages. Flat die pellet mills work on a vertical design, using gravity as the main force for feeding the material through the machine. Flat die pellet mills have a horizontal die, with a series of rollers above the die. As material falls in from the top, it is compressed between the rollers and die.
There are various different designs of flat die pellet mill, with two key differences. Some designs of flat die pellet mill have a rotating die with stationary roller shaft, and others have a stationary die with a rotating roller shaft. The later design being more popular for larger flat die pellet mills. In general however due to their simple design and lower weight, flat die pellet mills are normally used in small scale pellet production. With ring die pellet mills used in larger scale production.
